About The Project
The work took about four months, beginning in August 2019 and wrapping up in December 2019. We replaced the worn-out siding and shingles, giving the library an updated look.
The existing standing seam siding was replaced with James Hardie ColorPlus® board and batten, which offers superior fade resistance. High-end storm shingles were used to help protect the library from the extreme Colorado weather, and ensure the repairs will last throughout the years.
Unique Challenges
The pitch of the roof and scale of the project presented some unique challenges for us. The majority of the library’s roof is a 12/12 pitch (or a 45° angle), and it measured over 20 000 square feet. All of the work was completed while the library remained open so that they could continue serving the community.

The Glenn A. Jones, M.D. Memorial Library
The Glenn A. Jones M.D. Memorial Library, located at 400 S. Parish Avenue in Johnstown, CO, has been a valuable part of Weld County since 1965. The library was designed with its patrons in mind, featuring a themed play area in a tower with dragons and jesters, a large selection of books for all ages, and even an outdoor seating area to enjoy the Colorado sun.
